Welcome to the submission page for Winter Is Coming. I'm going to use this as my inbox so I can have everything in one place. I'll post "Everything up to here is done" comments so you know what's in my queue and what I think has been completed. Please sign up as a participant before commenting so I can correctly credit you, otherwise I may not even post your content at all.
Yes, this will be a raw feed of articles before I make them pretty on the main Winter Is Coming page. Feel free to follow along here if you'd like, though you'll miss the guest posts if you only follow this page.
To submit your entry, post a comment below in one of the two formats below.
If you are submitting a link, please include:

Blog Name: (Or whatever site the article is hosted on.)
Article Title: (Your finalized article title.)
Article URL: (I'll cut and paste this, so make sure it works.)
DEADLINE is Thursday 29 September to give me time to read your post and get your link formatted on the main page.
Here's your cut and paste section.

If you are submitting an article as a guest blogger, please do the following:
- Email the article or a link to the article to me at jim (at) twwombat (dot) com. I'm a PC guy, so make sure it's a .doc, .rtf, or .txt file.
- Post a comment here saying "Article Sent" with the title of the article. I am planning on spacing out the guest posts so I have something to publish every day. Don't worry if your article doesn't appear right away - it'll get lost in the pile of notifications if I post a bunch all at once. If I get ambitious I'll let you know when your article is scheduled to go up, but chances are I'll be going batty just trying to keep up, so please be patient.
- DEADLINE is Tuesday 26 September to give me time to read and format your article.
Update Schedule
I'm planning on updating at least twice a day: morning and evening. The times will change on the weekends, but in general I'll have a morning and evening round of activity. I'll schedule guest articles to post during the day so we can have a spread of content being published without my intervention.
What if things go wrong?
Then the world is functioning normally.
If you have an issue with anything or notice that the site is down or whatever, please email me at jim (at) twwombat (dot) com, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
Thanks for your participation and patience!

Caught up through here. Eddie, I'll put yours up tonight. I've got more guest posts in email as well, and I should probably check people's blogs for linked posts that didn't get listed in here.

Article Title: The Snow Queen

Heya, Jim... let's tweak the blurb, as I didn't actually model his Snow White. (No, that's not a typo).
ReplyDelete"Jeff Dougan of A Man's Brain-Attic sings us out on an Epic note as he shows us his high epic tier version of Hans Christian Anderson's Snow Queen and the magic mirror from the Princess series of books by Jim C. Hines. Go download the PDF and put the screws to your heroes. Enjoy!"
That better captures which inspirations come from where, if'n you don't mind.
Done!
