A 30 foot tall, polished marble building stands on the Cliffside of level 12, once the tallest building on the street, but newer construction makes it feel somewhat quaint in an archaic elegance sort of way. In Old Imperial times it served as a temple to Venus, but now vibrant paint, shining tinsel, and colored scarves wrap around the tall columns visible on the facade. A large sign in the shape of a glittering eye hangs out front, reflecting sunlight and moonlight at all angles, and highly visible from both directions. A similarly-sparkly sign above the double doors spells out "Eye Candy" in Common.
A counter greets visitors just inside the massive double doors (use the right one, as the left one sticks and screeches when opened), gracefully funneling people to a comfortable and posh waiting room on the left. Soft music with a driving beat filters in from places unknown, making the reception area feel like a private VIP room at the most exclusive dance club in town. A constructed second floor lies above the waiting room, with a grand staircase leading up from the waiting area. The roomy second floor has several seats and work areas for people receiving haircuts, nail work, and skin treatments, and doors in the back lead to a few private soundproof rooms outfitted for full-body massages. The work space to the right of the reception desk remains at full 30-foot height, where Cass Flamespitter holds court, waving to everyone coming and going.
The chair in Cass's tall work room can handle stone giants with ease, but it magically adjusts to comfortably hold any size of humanoid. Cass works on her taller clients using her winged boots, augmented by her own spells, allowing her to reach any area she needs to work on with ease. Shelves holding dyes, oils, and powders rise up to the ceiling far above, and tools hang on pegs close to hand. A door in the back of Cass's room leads to common areas that stretch behind the reception desk, including a staff lounge containing the remains (from her waist down) of the original statue of Venus, and several storerooms. Some of the storerooms serve as bedrooms in a pinch. Cass sleeps in the old caretaker's quarters, a spacious suite with an entrance hidden behind the statue of Venus.
Services cost a pretty penny, with the most basic haircut starting at 10 GP, but the upper-class clientele expect to pay dearly for white glove service and spectacular results. Clients request anything from a simple haircut to a full makeover, but the Inspirational Makeover remains Cass's signature service. During this two-hour session which costs 200 GP, Cass works with the client to assuage fears and inspire confidence, reworking any aspect of presentation that needs a glow-up, including clothes and accessories. Cass grants two uses of Bardic Inspiration (d10) to her client, usable at any point until the client's next long rest. These inspiration dice persist if the skill roll doesn't succeed, thanks to Cass's Unfailing Inspiration.
Cass guarantees satisfaction for all services provided. She persuades her way to a satisfactory outcome, or intimidates those not acting in good faith to hold their tongues and never return again. Eye Candy provides a safe space for people to be themselves without attitude or opinion, and every worker helps every patron feel confident and powerful, which fosters intense loyalty. Cass can sway opinions among the rich and powerful, one client at a time, but she hasn't felt the need to push those buttons. Yet.
