Bran & Jane Casey almost own The Perfect Pint. They live above the bar in a spacious apartment, but they live humbly, spending what profit they make on improving their services and getting out of debt. They came to Fellport eight years ago to make a new life for themselves after they got married in the city of Oxhall in the Dunhill Confederacy. Both of them have overwhelming families, and they wanted to see if they could make it on their own together.
They both run the bar. Bran usually works during the day in hopes of uncovering anything interesting from the Burberry & Haviland clients waiting for their clothes, and he can rip out a shanty on his concertina while reading his patrons' lips. Jane usually takes the night shift after doing research during the day, and she can put on one heck of a show (music, poetry, stand-up comedy, or flawless impressions) if no other entertainment presents itself.
Bran Casey spent his early life learning the family business: entertainment. His family of Halfling acrobats and actors run the largest permanent theater in Oxhall, and they expected him to follow in their footsteps. Bran had other ideas, and he developed his innate love of mystery into something of a career in investigation, eventually learning how to read lips. When buying The Perfect Pint, Zeke (the Gnome in charge of the cleaning service Like New) saw Bran's potential for uncovering valuable secrets and traded the bar for services rendered. Now that the end of the mortgage deal approaches, Bran wants out of the arrangement, but Zeke wants to keep it going.

Jane Casey's family expected her to take up arms and rally around the Brannock banner, despite her diminutive size. She enlisted as a mercenary in the famous Gallowglass Company for training and two years of service, during which she entertained her fellow soldiers with uncanny impressions of their sergeant (and spent more than one night on latrine duty because of it). After an honorable discharge (barely), she fled to the warm embrace of the theater to sharpen her performing skills, where she met Bran. They hit it off, and they decided to start fresh somewhere new while they were still young. Now she lurks in libraries during her off hours, learning languages and uncovering secrets to get out from under Zeke's thumb.
