For week 42 of The Rumor Mill we examine some larger projects and magical effects around Fellport. Enchantments and safeguards around the harbor make life safer for the sailors and dockworkers that keep trade running at a fever pitch. Rumors abound of magical defenses that burn intruders and the "fly & drop" torture tower at the College, even though students break in daily to enjoy the pastime known on campus as "tower jumping". And what spells would you permanently enchant a theatre with to improve theatrical and musical performances?
So let's dig into the stories around permanent large magical effects and some public works projects around town.

- No sea creatures attack the harbor, and the Breakwater keeps storm waves out. The Stillwater Walls calm ship wakes, too.
- People say there's a permanent gate to Alfinwald on the grounds, and that fey predators roam the grounds to deter visitors.
- The Sky Tower was built for research purposes. Students use it for fun. The Watch uses it to lift objects onto the wall.
- The theatre itself has no permanent magical effects, though members of the Folio Fools usually help with sound and illusion.
- Genna Sinclair casts hallow in the Council House as needed. She allows fey to enter, as some elves have fey blood.
- After the Godstorm, the harbormaster installed the harbor net to prevent large items from falling more than 50 feet down.
- Lady Vi doesn't suffer fools, but she tries to help inventors when she can. She's formidable on her own without magical wards.
- These hastily-erected towers held 2-3 spellcasters with access to telekinesis to prevent Ionian catapults from causing damage.
